This is general educational guidance. Check the linked official sources and your child’s school instructions for the applicable syllabus and assessment year.
Confirm the subject combination
State whether the student takes Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a combined Science combination. Record the examination year and current syllabus information.
SEAB lists the 2026 O-Level syllabuses for school candidates, including pure and combined Science subjects. Use the official page rather than a generic revision list.
Map concepts and dependencies
Mark each topic as secure, developing or urgent using recent evidence. Then identify prerequisite ideas. A calculation difficulty may come from units or algebra; an explanation difficulty may come from an incomplete particle or energy model.
Repair dependencies first and test them in a new context before moving on.
Balance recall and application
Use brief retrieval for definitions, laws, equations and processes. Follow immediately with a question that requires selection, interpretation or explanation.
Include graphs, tables, experimental methods and calculations throughout the week so that practical reasoning is not left until the end.
Use timed work as feedback
Start with timed sections, then full papers when the student is ready. Classify errors by concept, question interpretation, calculation, practical reasoning and communication.
Select a small correction set and retry it later. Completing another paper immediately can repeat the same errors without strengthening the missing skill.
