Step 2: review relevant tutor profiles
A suitable profile should let you compare education, subject and level experience, availability, lesson mode and the quoted rate. You can state a preference for a part-time tutor, full-time tutor or current or former teacher.
We consider the information supplied for the request and by tutors. Ask for supporting qualifications or clarification where needed; a profile is not a guarantee of examination results. Take time to compare the tutor’s approach with the student’s actual needs.
Step 3: confirm the lesson arrangement
Before lessons begin, confirm the hourly rate, duration, frequency, location or online setup, start date, payment arrangements and cancellation terms. Discuss any materials charges or special requirements in advance.
Agree on how the tutor will update you and how you will review the first few lessons. If an explanation style or schedule is not working, raise it with the coordinator so the available options can be discussed.
