We consider home tuition requests across Singapore, including the North, South, East, West and Central areas. Tutor availability depends on the actual location, subject and timing; this is not a claim that we have a branch in every neighbourhood.
Your postal code is optional when first requesting help, but an area or nearby MRT station helps narrow travel arrangements. A tutor who can reach your home consistently may be a more practical match than one with an impressive profile but an unsuitable commute.
Set up a useful space for lessons
A clear table, adequate lighting and ready access to school materials are a good starting point. Discuss whether the tutor should work on current homework, revision or a specific skill so lesson time has a purpose.
For younger children, agree on a manageable duration and whether short breaks are needed. Keep the space free of unrelated screens where possible, while allowing necessary learning tools.
Home tuition or a tuition centre?
A centre can provide a structured group programme and interaction with other students. Home tuition allows more individual pacing, questions and feedback. Consider class size, travel, concentration and the student’s confidence rather than assuming one setting is best for everyone.
If travel or finding a specialist is difficult, online tuition is another option. Confirm the tutor’s setup and whether the student can participate comfortably on screen.
Find home tuition by subject and level
Start with the subject the student finds most challenging. If several subjects are needed, discuss whether one tutor is suitable for all of them and how time will be divided.
Confirm the practical details before lessons start
Check the rate, lesson length, frequency, payment timing and cancellation terms. Ask whether materials or travel are included in the quote. Agree on goals and a time to review the arrangement after the initial lessons.
