H1 and H2 Mathematics tuition
Tell us which Mathematics course you take and whether the main difficulty is understanding a concept, choosing a method or completing a question independently. Your recent tutorial work and tests provide a useful starting point.
For H2 Mathematics, discuss support for both pure mathematics and probability and statistics, aligned with the current syllabus. A tutor can guide students through setting up a solution, explaining assumptions and checking whether an answer makes sense. H1, H2 and Further Mathematics should not be treated as interchangeable courses.
Physics, Chemistry and Biology
State the subject and H1 or H2 level. A useful lesson can connect the underlying concepts with calculations, data interpretation and the written explanation required by the question.
If practical work is a concern, specify whether you need help with planning, handling data or understanding experimental reasoning. Confirm what the tutor can provide; home and online tuition should not be assumed to include laboratory facilities.
General Paper tuition
General Paper is a separate JC subject, not simply a continuation of Primary or Secondary English tuition. Explain whether you need support with developing an argument, using relevant examples, comprehension or expressing ideas accurately.
Practice should include evaluating a claim and responding to the actual question. Current Singapore and international examples can be useful when they are accurate and relevant; memorising an essay without understanding the argument is not a substitute for that work.
Economics and other JC subjects
For Economics, include H1 or H2 and the areas where support is needed. Students may require help connecting a model to a scenario, interpreting information or writing a balanced explanation.
For other subjects, share the exact course name and requirements in the request. Specialist matches depend on relevant experience and availability. If the subject is not listed on the form, select Other and specify it.
Balance tutorials, revision and examination preparation
For JC1, a plan may focus on foundations and keeping up with tutorials. For JC2 or private candidates, discuss the time remaining, current gaps and how to balance topical revision with mixed questions.
Agree on manageable work between lessons and review errors instead of measuring progress only by the number of papers completed. Confirm the current examination syllabus with SEAB, especially where course versions differ by year.
